Cindy is now among the walking. Last week she crawled everywhere, this week she walks everywhere. She continues to remain in good health. She takes 9 tenths of a mil of digoxin twice a day to keep her from going into congestive heart failure. Her weight is good and her height is off the charts. We already bought her a basketball hoop. I can not believe how many toys she got for Christmas! Her toy box is full, toys are scattered all over the house. She is very busy even compared to other baby's her age. Cindy gets into everything as you can see by her picture.
She will need to see her cardiologist in July and will probably have her surgery this summer. Her surgery has been put off so many times now that I don't know what to believe. On her last visit to the cardiologist a third Ventricular Sepal Defect was discovered is its a low muscular VSD. We are still hoping the VSD's will close enough on their own that she won't need surgery. She still has a band on her pulmonary artery that protects her lungs from the flood of blood trying to flow to them through her VSD's. Her band was much looser than the surgeon had intended but that is a good thing because it is giving her more time before it has to be removed. The longer she has the band on the more time her VSD's have to close on their own.
