Cindy and Dr. Braille at her 15 month checkup. Dr. Braille probably saved Cindy's life when she was two weeks old by diagnosing her quickly and putting her on the ambulance that got her to the ICU just minutes before she stopped breathing.
Cindy had her 15 month check up yesterday. She weighs 25 pounds and is 32 inches tall. She is in the 93rd percentile for her height, the 85th for her weight and the 95th for her head size. She is doing great! She threw a huge tantrum when Nancy tried to weigh her! The whole clinic heard Cindy kicking and screaming. But when it came time for her shots Cindy only cried about 15 seconds and she had three shots including the dreaded tetanus. Typical of Cindy she would rather endure shots then be forced to lay still to be weighed or X-rayed.
Cindy will see her cardiologist some time in June. When she see's him next they will do an echo to see if her PA band is ready to come off and to see if her VSD's will need repair or have closed on their own. They will also take a look at her bicuspid aortic valve and see if it has become more narrowed or if it has stayed the same size. If it gets much worse she may need the ross procedure sometime in the next few years.
